Wise Words Media is delighted to announce that Jimmy Flinders Productions has chosen ‘A Fistful of Scripts’ for the exclusive launch and preview of its new stage production. A bold, new theatre concept, Lounge Theatre is performed in domestic environments and intimate venues to discerning, niche audiences of 20 to 40 people.
The nature of Lounge Theatre means that the audience is extremely close to the actual performance space, says Marco Romero Rodriguez, Artistic Director and Co-Producer. Its unique, micro-theatre viewed within the comfort of your own lounge room. Or one very much like it.
Romero says that the scripts are 60 to 70 minutes in length.
Presented by Jimmy Flinders Productions, Lounge Theatre is an intimate, moving and highly engaging theatre experience which is already capturing much attention and the imagination of Melbournes arts industry and community.
A Fistful of Scripts is the perfect vehicle for the public to experience Melbourne’s newest theatre offering: Lounge Theatre, says Sean McIntyre of Wise Words Media. It has quickly established itself as fertile ground for writers where new scripts for stage and screen can be road-tested with a cast in front of an audience.
The process is about getting vital script feedback while having an audience that hears the words and sees the action, says Sean McIntyre. Following each script the public will be encouraged to join an open Q & A forum, led by MC Jeremy Kewley.
John Flaus will also make a special appearance as Old Man Harvest in Harvest, a one act play written and directed by Sean McIntyre.
‘A Fistful of Scripts’ is again be open the general public. Admission is free, however gold coin donations will be accepted online and at the door. Making this possible is generous assistance from Theatre Works.
Melbourne’s most talented and driven writers, actors and directors join creative forces once more for an evening of script-readings at Theatre Works, Acland St Kilda, on Monday 4th June 2012 at 7pm.

ABOUT A Fistful of Scripts
We write em. They read em. You hear em.
Writers rode into town with a fistful of scripts and went lookin for actors and directors. When they got together all hell broke loose. Now theyve formed a posse. When they find The Audience… anything could happen.
Starring Writers that write em, Actors that read em and Directors that direct em. Special guest appearance by The Audience that hears em.
A 100% non-profit production, ‘A Fistful of Scripts’ acknowledges the kind assistance of Theatre Works, St Kilda.
The driving philosophy and rationale behind ‘A Fistful of Scripts is to take the work out to the audience. We write ‘em. They read ‘em. You hear ‘em.
