An Oxfam voucher valued at to enable Syrian refugee families to buy suitable clothing distributed by local partner NAVTSS.

Fighting continues to escalate across northern Syria and its western border, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent has calculated the number of displaced people at 4 million – double that of recent estimates (1 April 2013).

Outside of Syria, the total number of registered refugees and individuals awaiting registration is more than 1,100,000. The number of refugees crossing Syria’s borders shows no sign of decreasing, and aid agencies and host countries have almost reached their capacity to cope with recent surges.
