Rich Hippie Productions CEO Sydney Holland Announces the Appointment of Keri Ann Kimball as President
(PRWEB) August 08, 2012
Sydney Holland, Founder and CEO of Rich Hippie Productions (RHP), announced today the appointment of film industry veteran Keri Ann Kimball as RHP President. In her new post, Kimball will oversee the acquisition and development of RHPs film and television properties.
Said Holland: Keri Ann is a dear friend and a wonderful choice for our company. She brings deep roots and experience to the job. She had rigorous early training in classical theater at American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and at Circle in the Square Repertory Theatre in Manhattan before moving on to acting in and producing film and television. Keri Ann has a keen professional eye, incredible industry contacts and has shown a wonderful skill for moving the written word to final image. I am very happy she has agreed to join me in leading our young company.
Keri Ann Kimball has been celebrated as one of the entertainment industrys most significant young producers in Allure Magazines Hollywood of the New Millennium. She has appeared in both film and national network television productions and later produced and helped cast five released motion pictures. Among the performances in those films were appearances by such established Hollywood stars as Oscar winner Marisa Tomei and Oscar nominated and Emmy winner Thomas Haden Church.
Said Kimball: With Sydneys help, we have already pulled together an extraordinary portfolio of properties, including adaptation rights to American Eve, a much-admired book based on the turn-of-the-century romance of Evelyn Nesbit and Stanford White, and Slider, a terrifically written sports novel by author Patrick Robinson. Evelyn Nesbit, a young model whose notorious romances destroyed two of Americas most powerful sexual predators, will be the role of a lifetime as will be the fictional young hotshot pitcher Jack Faber who is the focus of Slider. Sydney is also backing an extraordinary documentary, Unfit, that focuses on the thousands of children and teens trapped inside Americas adult prison system. I look forward to Unfit being an Oscar contender when it is finished next year.
Kimball will also oversee development of RHPs television properties, including Protection, a one hour drama about the first five women allowed into the Secret Service Agency; Double Parked a half hour sitcom about young beautiful women living in LA; and Singularity, an original half hour show depicting the gritty but seductive high society life on New York Citys East Side.
Keri Ann Kimball is a film and theatre graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and a native Californian who grew up a doctors daughter in the Burlingame suburb of San Francisco. Her sister, Dyana Kimball, the founder and former artistic Director of the innovative Boston Directors’ Lab, is now a theatre director in New York City and adjunct professor at Columbia University. Both are the daughters of Patricia Wadsworth Kimball and renowned Bay Area cardiologist Dr. Roger Stanley Kimball. The late Dr. Kimball trained several generations of California internists and heart specialists and served with distinction for many years on the medical school staff and faculty at Stanford University, his alma mater, and at the University of California at San Francisco. Keri Ann is a member of Women in Film, an active athlete and an instructor in the practice of Kundalini yoga.
